For the Crust:
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
For the Filling:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the crust
In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 3: Prepare the filling
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until smooth.
Stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated.
Step 4: Assemble and bake
Pour the filling over the crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
Step 5: Cool and serve
Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan. Slice into squares and serve at room temperature or chilled.
