Neva’s Potatoes

Neva’s Potatoes is a casserole-style dish made with shredded potatoes, a creamy cheese sauce, and a crispy topping, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

For the Potatoes:

    • Frozen hash brown potatoes: 1 bag (30 oz), thawed

    • Cheddar cheese: 2 cups, shredded

    • Sour cream: 1 cup

    • Cream of chicken soup: 1 can (10.5 oz)

    • Butter: ½ cup, melted

    • Onion: 1 small, finely diced

    • Salt and pepper: To taste

For the Topping:

    • Cornflakes: 2 cups, crushed

    • Butter: ¼ cup, melted

Instructions

Prepare the Creamy Mixture

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

    1. In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, diced onion, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.

Combine with Potatoes
